Hotpoint Aquarius Washing Machine, no final spin

    \Hotpoiny Machine will go as far as final spin, we have checked the filter and pump and both are perfectly clean also the waste pipe, drum is also clean nothing stuck in it, any suggestions:):) welcome

    are you sure it is washing? if it is, normally on a cotton wash at any temp it will spin provided it is emptying and the load isn't out of balance, see if it will spin if the drum is empty

    Technician looked at it and wrote it off, said bearings are gone, it owes us nothing , but at the same time I thought it was something minor and repairable as the only problem was that the drum was rinsing and not spinning, may the harm of the year go with it!!

    There is a setting in a lot of washing machines which allows you to hold the clothes in the water at the end of the final rinse so that they don't crease. You then come home from work or shopping, hit a button and it drains and spins.

    It may be a long shot but check if you haven't accidently engaged that option.
