    All would be huge upgrades over what he has now which would be struggling badly in new games - if that's the total budget, you would be much better off getting the A320M with a Ryzen 1600AF or 2600.

    Put the extra cash into getting a GTX1660 6GB. Much more balanced build that way.

    Or else if you can stretch, get the 3600 + GTX1660 6GB. The GTX1650 Super is a good card but the 4GB vram is a bit limiting these days, most new games need a minimum of 4GB even for medium textures.

    Ryzen also likes fast ram so while you can use your old 2133mhz for now, ideally Ryzen wants 3200mhz ram and performs much better with it.

    Personally I'd lean towards a slightly worse CPU, and better motherboard/GPU.

    I wouldn't put that much into motherboard at the detriment of the GPU.
    i.e. get a £70 motherboard (as above) and use the extra £50 to move up to a GTX 1660 Super.
