    HI,

neighbour asked me to setup two TCP smartplugs. Easy to do.

Could not connect them to their wi-fi.

In my house - with VF - they can be setup in 15secs. Noissues.

But their Eir wifi, just does not want to connect them.
Thye work on a 2.4hz freq, and went into their router and disabled the 5hz.
    still no joy.

could it be a firewall on the Eir router thats stopping the smart plugs connecting to their server (which controls using the plugs when away form the house)

any ideas ? two plugs are the same, and both connect in my house quickly.

    Thx

    K

    Update:

played around with the Eir router.

changed channel from auto -nothing, security - nothing, firewall -nothing.

then tried his wife's phone - done.
used the same account and the two wifi plugs hsowed up on his phone too.

baffled but they both now work.

not sure why his samsung wouldn't allow the install but his wife's did.

    so be it.
