Looking out for a clean 16ft or 18ft silage trailer which grain back door. Don't want a big massive heavy trailer but don't want one made of tin foil either. Budget of about 8k.

Which of these are lighter trailers - kane ,Smyth, Dooley, Thorpe, ruscon, redrock, herron.

Which of the above would he recommend.

Will it be used more for silage or grain? Broughan make a good trailer too.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

More so for silage. Short draws. Will be well minded. Broughan will be too expensive id expect. Only want to pay somewhere between 6k to 8k max. Want something in good condition that will always be worth what I paid for it. Will be kept in shed.

Are springs worse or better than boogie axles? Always thought the boogie was the one to go for?

Boogies wear out and **** up your tyres(unless buying new and it's greased very regularly)..won't happen with springs.

If budget was right a nice Smyth fieldmaster might be just in the 8k if you got to buy private and off season. or a redrock oldstyle are a great trailer you could pick up one needing a respray for 5k
