Barrage of verbal abuse

I saw a person unleash a lot of verbal abuse to a woman - seemed to be a family issue at a cemetery of all places. The woman got very upset and she and possibly her sister attempted to drive away in their car and eventually did get away. The man was calling the woman every name under the sun. I did hear one of the women say that they only came to visited their parents (hence why I think they were all family). The abuse was very loud and other in the cemetery must have also heard it.

Out of interest I wondered throughout the day how the women were and thought what legal standing would they have. Is their anything they would be able to do etc.

I don't know any of the people that were involved and hope they (the women at least) have recovered over their ordeal.
