That’s a very interesting action for a Remington. Is that a Zastava action in another guise ? I’m very fond of the Mauser action. Often copied, rarely,if ever, improved upon.

Found this on the Remington website. They had the 798 799 model for a few years. Rifles were built by Zastava. Not sure if the US customers liked the "not made in USA" side of it.
Has a lot of original Mauser Features except the flag safety. Great price for a new rifle.
