Dvi-I to VGA

So I have a DVI-I port on the GPU, and am trying to connect it to my primary monitor, but I keep getting no signal, and windows won’t detect the display. The cable and gpu both work, as I swapped over to my secondary monitor and it worked no problem, the VGA on the monitor also works as I can plug it into the motherboard…

The cable and gpu both work, as I swapped over to my secondary monitor and it worked no problem, the VGA on the monitor also works as I can plug it into the motherboard vga and it works.

Any ideas as to how I can fix this?
