NESSPRESSO VERTUO MACHINE reduced to €99 from €199 with 100 complimentary capsules that normally cost €59

The other half is very pleased with her unexpected present.

This is a good deal for people who are happy to pay a premium for the Nespresso consumables. However, these work out at around €0.80 per cup. If this is a concern there are better options out there. There are various options for refilling the capsules but I haven't tried these.

Hadn't seen the original BA, so sorry for posting a duplicate. 🙂

caution, you're then stuck with the vertuo discs as opposed to the pods which you can buy anywhere.

I'm going to try reusable coffee pods but you can also refill the cartridges if the costs are too high

Have you read the reviews? Sounds like these are not compatible at all.

There are a few different makes, maybe that wasn't the best one to link to.
It appears that you can also refill the pods, pretty easily. You can buy replacement aluminium foil lids or there's a video on YouTube showing how to make your own. 🙂

The pods have a barcode around the rim which I believe the Nespresso machine reads. Third party pods won't work in it.

    Correct.

Good price though. Making the different size coffee's are handy but more expensive than original nespresso.

Repost - But thanks for taking the time to post this OP - Your intentions were good !

I bought this months ago and am still sipping my way through the 'free' pods - Its a whole lot of coffee for €99 - Def recommended once you're aware of the caveats mentioned above.

Other point to note is that the pods are twice the size, so factor that in to your reckonings.....

Absolutely these are a great machine at a great price.
In a nutshell, this is basically a free machine, that allows you to make decent coffee very conveniently at about 65 cents per cup.
If you like a "mug" of coffee, the capsules are actually cheaper than the original Nespresso, because you needed two "old" capsules to make a "mug". The machine is also an improvement on the original machines, hotter coffee for one.

Buying one of these and then looking at refillable capsules is a waste of time.

If you don't mind the cost of the capsule, this is a great offer, if you do mind the cost of the capsule, then looking elsewhere is a better idea.

Ya, great price. I bought one back in April I think it was. I bought an aeroccino milk frother as well to go with it which really makes the coffee, for me it does anyway. The travel mug going with this offer is excellent as well. Keeps things hot for ages.

My only gripe was they sent me loads of stong coffee pods. I prefer smoother coffees.
