Loan scammers

    Hi.. I applied for a loan with financecash 24 yesterday and today recieved a call from 01 6278896 stating i had been approved, explained all the terms and conditions and options for repaying the loan ..but because it was a unsecured loan i would have to a pay the first installment up front (i know alarm bells did ring) but i still went ahead and was directed to a site called Transferwise where i made the payment ..20 mins later another call to say the paperwork is being finalised (wait for it ) but i would have to pay another €299 to release the loan but i would get that back ..when i refused i was told you won't be getting your initial payment back or the loan and then they hung up.. Done up like a kipper ..so just a heads up ..
    FINANCECASH24 .. A CALL FROM 01 6278896.. TRANSFERWISE.. Don't get caught

    Send a report to the Central Bank.

    They are fairly quick at closing these scams down.


    They also use the names of legitimate financial institutions. In above you mention Transferwise - they are a genuine company. But these scammers will hope people won't notice

    Also send a report to transferwise.

    This and others like it are 100% scams. You will never ever get a loan from such places and you will always be asked for a payment - which they will never give you back.

    Then they disappear and set up under another name.

    You might be able to reverse the payment from transferwise - I'm assuming it came off a card? Call your bank ASAP.

    Had to cancel bank card and reported to the fraud section of the bank .. I will get on to Transferwise ..usually much sharper with things like this but just got caught out ..just hope it helps someone else ..i did'nt loose much but kicking myself for getting caught out
