EN500 petrol problrm

    Hi guys i have a question,i have a EN500,but i have a problem when i have the petrol on(the carbs fill with petrol)but some how the petrol gets into the air breather box and then into the crank case breather,what might cause this?Thanks all

    7th pic down the small needle valve is not sealing. You need to remove them and clean them or better yet replace after cleaning inside where it seats with carb cleaner.

    When these don't seat properly it's like the the stop cock in yer bog not stopping the cistern from overfilling. That overfilling goes into your aitbox and down the cylinder. Change your oil!

    don't ride it with petrol contaminated oil - asking for big trouble.

    i took of the carb bowl and held up the floats and the needles stops petrol coming in,Also guys i just noticed that when the fuel tap on the tank is in the off position,petrol still comes out,Might this have something to do with it

    If you grew up riding old bikes, turning off the petrol tap was just what you did!
    Vacuum petrol taps changed that a bit but its still a habit I have to this day.

    You pushed up the floats with your fingers until the float needle stopped the petrol coming in, that doesn't mean the float needle is going to the same position when the bowl fills with petrol. Adjust the tang on the float where it connects to the needle so that you're sure the float is going all the way home.

    Float height needs to be correct as the depth of fuel in the float bowl affects the mixture.

    In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.
