have a couple of AAX bullocks that I purchased early February, was going to give them a dose of pour on soon enough just wondering what people would recommend? They are about 350kg and thriving well at grass but just want to give them something as it will be there first dose since arriving on the farm?

I be inclined to let them alone if thriving and if they have all coated. Worm burden should be low with the weather we have had since turnout. In 4-6 weeks you will be hitting the start of the hoose burden and a dose them would see them throught to September or later.

I be inclined towards an injection rather than a pour on, it's cheaper and you know they have got it. I only use a pour on for the shorter withdrawal.

An ivermectin should do the job. Injections are very competitive. You can even get the better branded generic such as Animec or Bimectin which are as cheap as the other generics online There is a nice but of a difference on the pourons

Great cheers for the informative advice as always Bass! I was thinking myself would the effectiveness be any good with the weather and their own thrive as I’ve been very impressed with them, only problem is when warm - the flies seem to be annoying one or two of them slightly?

I would not worry about flies unless you are feeding them and they are in tall grass. Then there is s risk of an eye infection.
