Passport Query

    Hi all,
    Family holiday booked for Spain on July 2nd.
    I realise there is only a slim chance we’ll get to go.

    However son’s passport has expired and as far as I know passport office is closed.

    Applied online yesterday but probably won’t be processed in time.
    Would anyone have any advice?

    The passport office will resume the processing of online passport applications from next week, according to the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney.

    need one for august and was planning on waiting for passport express to reopen but it looks like online seems to be the way to go now

    Always online, never by post, if possible. Look at the passport mega thread, last year online renewal time was less than half the postal time. Passport "express" hasn't been express since online began
