Upgrading machine / different pads

Like most others, am unfortunate enough to have some local birds who like to poop all over my cars. Naturally, they generally save this for when the cars are sparkling clean.

Am not always able to remove it quickly - and as a result there's some etching on two or three of the cars I'd like to get rid of. Have used my trusty porter cable, with a cutting pad and Poorboys SSR3 and no amount of work is shifting it.

So am considering upgrading my machine - looking for recommendations on something which would make more of an impact. Its always been a bit under-powered - which was ideal 10 years ago when I'd never used one, but its not really cut out for anything more than very light swirl removal. Alternatively - if anyone can suggest an alternative pad / polish combo which would be likely to the trick that would be appreciated.

    Cheers

So regarding machine polishers (Dual Action or Forced Rotation), check out the DAS Pro range, Vertool, Shinemate machines. They would be a great balance of cost and performance. You could go for a Flex or Rupes but if only using the odd time, the cost probably won't warrant them.

For pad choice.....check out Lake Country, Rupes, Zvivver, Scholl. OCD Detailing have started to stock NAT pads which Peter is highly impressed with. I ordered a bundle which arrived today so will look forward to checking them out over the next week or two. For extra cutting ability look towards the micro-fibre or wool/wool hybrid pads.

For compounds/polishes......again Zvivver, Scholl, Menzerna, Rupes, etc have very good options. The Zvivver range is my go to at the minute, offers excellent performance. But all the above are very good, as well as others i just forgot to mention. A lot of choice out there now!

Thanks for that - the rupes machines are probably more than I want to spend at the moment. Those DAS Pro machines look like seriously good value.
