My kid's phone can receive notifications but can't send any WhatsApp , snaps or IG.
There seems to be a total inability to use the internet including being unable to connect to a hotspot
Anyone any suggestions that doesn't involve deleting all the data/ factory reset.
    The carrier is three
    Thanks. Teenage meltdowns happening here

Hold on button and down volume button and force a reset.
Or else something was changed in the setting is data enabled and is it on the wifi.

    That didn't resolve it unfortunately.
Data is on. Apparently no settings were tampered with.
It won't connect to Wi-Fi for some reason. Comes on for a split second and then goes off.

Put it on off on off a few times on airplanes mode or else go into settings and disconnect from wifi forget network and then rejoin it

You could also try Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings which will do what exactly what it says on the tin. You will have to input SSID and password again and you will lose automatic connection to previously joined networks.

However all other settings/data/apps etc. remain on the phone as is and unaffected.

Thanks for all the suggestions. All this was tried to no avail. Turns out it was a phone issue alright, not network.
There was a some hinky VPN app downloaded by said teen which the iPhone didn't like. Deleting the app sorted the issue.
