Since access to the University campus is restricted. Are there any pitches in the Castletroy area that are available for running?

I don't believe there are any, unfortunately!

If you are looking for a grass surface though there is a very flat field between Milford School and Credit Union that seems to be being used a bit (more-so for sprints as opposed to doing long runs as its not a huge area).

If its for off road running though your best bet would probably be the river bank path from UL into Town or the Park in Annacotty across from Castletroy College!

    Thanks.

I run along that grass stripe at times coming up to the University East Gate.

May attempt some late evening to run around the pitch close to the East Gate. There doesn't seem to be any security at that gate.

Access seem to be open to the UL pitches. Ran there yesterday evening.

Castletroy park probably your best option?

Wouldn’t say there are pitches there as such. Aisling Annacotty use it for Juvenile pitches but plenty of grass to run on!
