Hi, I'm looking to buy an oil filter for a Hyundai i30 2010. Is there likely to be any difference between the Hyundai/Kia part I can get from the dealer Mann + Hummel, Korea, 26300 35504 and the Mann filter I can get from motor factors, like https://www.micksgarage.com/g/oil-filters/products/834c330715/mann-oil-filter. Are all Mann filters more or less the same?

Filters are made to different specs, but Mann is a quality brand so I’d have no issue using them.

Not sure if its the case with the i30 but on the Santa Fe the Hyundai filter comes with a replacement plug for the oil filter housing the after market ones don't I've used both without issues or leaks though.

No, the 2010 is just a screw on filter. I went a bit mad on OEM stuff for the service last year, just trying to figure if I'll go that route again or not. The dealer price for an oil filter wasn't the worst, figured it would just be easier to get something delivered at the moment than try to deal with them. Not too sure how bothered they will be selling a low value part like that to a member of the public at the minute.
