No, I started this thread for individual items.

I often come across good prices in the new&used links under items, which usually contains warehouse items, so I though I'd post here.

I see the Ninja Foodi in the above post is now gone.

There are currently no listings for this search. Try a different refinement.

By the time someone posts a warehouse deal it'll more than likely be gone

Not too many have seen this, but you can search for items limitied to the Warehouse on Amazon.

All of my razor blades and oral B toothbrush head purchases have been done as a warehouse deal, currently waiting on a pair of Asics runners. Some great bargains particularly when they do the occasional 20% extra off.

There has been problems, but amazon chat have always offered refunds straight away. From my experience the more of a discount the more 'damaged' the item but the majority of the returns seem to be wrong size or postal damage to the box and this is an excuse to return the item.

The worst I got was a pair of sunglasses which had been returned and the person returning the item had posted back a fake pair (like you get in a Canaries sunday market)

Word of warning placing an item in your basket doesn't hold it for you and will still be available for other people to buy. To be honest if I'm looking for something I will always have a quick search in the warehouse section and see how much of a discount is available, if it's small enough I tend to go full price but if it's a good saving I'll take the chance.

I use Warehouse Deals a lot but 80% of the time, it's just the one item for sale.

So this thread is 80% pointless really.

I've raised individual threads in the past where I know there's more than one for sale but they're few and far between.

Generally, have been lucky but have had two returns to it in the last week.. a scratched phone case (indicated as Like New) and a blind indicated as wrong colour and missing all fittings.

Bought a drone that was classified as "Like New" and when I opened the box it was far from it. Prop blades were in bits and covered in grass stains and one of the extendable prop arms was really stiff. The drone had obviously been crashed and returned to amazon.

To be fair amazon were great in providing a label for free shipping but the hassle I went through wasnt worth it. I also lost out on 50eur currency conversion fees as revolut wasnt a thing at the time.

To lose that much you must have spent a good bit. How much was it and when did you buy it ?

So.....it sounds like buying a phone on Amazon Warehouse might not be a great idea?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,689 ✭✭✭✭TheDriver

Be careful if there's a lot of the model there. Motorola model few years back was crap and all the returns were sold on warehouse.

I've bought three phones from the Warehouse over the last few years. Two were perfect apart from some minor packaging damage and the third one (an Iphone and the most expensive of the lot) was a disaster - screen packed in and started glitching after 30 minutes use - no new apps installed or anything.

In fairness to Amazon, their customer service was good but it did take a while to get everything sorted and a few contacts as it was over Christmas and delays with postal return etc.

It wouldn't put me off using Warehouse again - but probably only if the device was for me - not the wife or child - grief just not worth it!

When you buy b-grade stock from virtually any large retailer it's a big gamble. A lot of it is stock returned as 'faulty', given the most basic of inspections - if even - and resold on as b-grade.

I have purchased a lot of b-grade stuff from various places over the years and honestly I would say it's almost 50/50. Often the item might have a subtle fault that isn't immediately obvious, and no retailer is going to spend hours attempting to find/replicate a claimed fault if the item is relatively low value.

With Amazon warehouse I tend to only buy if the indicator is that the item is new with damaging packing. The last thing I bought was a monitor that was £300 less than RRP and it had never been opened, just damaged packaging.

I've just bought an Xbox one X bundle from the Italian warehouse. €257 versus €449 new. It is "like new" with only damaged packaging, which is a fantastic bargain. The same bundle is also available as "used - good condition" for €253, but is described as having many blemishes and is missing the controller, game codes and cables. That's a terrible price and is only €4 cheaper. There are some great bargains to be had, just use common sense. It's also worth checking the Spanish, Italian, French and German Warehouses. Delivery was €13 from Italy.

Do you have to go the site for each country or is there a site for checking them all at once?

That doesn't show the Warehouse deals, although it did through up a very good price for a new Xbox One X from Italian Amazon. €328

For the Warehouse deals, I usually search the Italian and Spanish ones directly as they seem to offer the best deals.

Is it OK getting prepaid labels to return to Amazon DE/FR etc the same way you get them from Amazon UK? That'd be my only concern!

If they post it here then they have to provide returns from here.

I've ALWAYS had to initially pay for return postage with Amazon.de, and they reimburse then upon proof of postage. It's a bit of a hassle compared to Amazon.co.uk's prepaid labels.

Only if item is faulty or not as described.
If you change your mind, you have to pay postage with partial refund, as in returning phone to .es site cost €18, they refunded €6 upon receipt of package.

Yeah.. that’d be the difference with UK - my mother returned an iPhone case last week she incorrectly bought for iPhone 8 Plus as opposed to an iPhone 8 - her fault and it was prepaid label.
