Amazfit is opening up early bird deals, of $149 for the Amazfit X, down from what it says will be a full retail price of $329. It might be worth that to get hold of a wearable curiosity, that perhaps says more about the manufacturing and engineering power of Huami, than a serious attempt to dominate the industry. To achieve seven days of battery, with this range of sensors and quality of screen technology is pretty impressive – even more so if it's actually comfortable to wear.

Don't like the look of it, and their choice of watch faces are ugly as sin.

That curved screen looks like it would be a major scratch magnet.

Must admit I was tempted but luckily a friend of mine has pre-ordered so I'll wait to see how she get on with it & see what it looks like physically.

    zero

    it's a hideous 1970's bangle-come-smartband

how they ever expect someone to pay over $300 for this defies belief. even $150 is not good value imo

how they can call it a smartwatch is also stretching it - it only has smartband features

e.g. not even any on-board storage for music etc

something like the huawei band 4 pro for less than £50 on amazon uk can do what it does (gps etc)
