The horse tail weed is very difficult to eliminate. What is the best herbicide to use. Was on a spraying course three years ago and they recommend Basta. Has anyone any experience of this weed and how did you eliminate it?

Drainage and increasing pH will help inhibit it.

    Dicophar kills it no problem.

Bruising the stems is a big help. Back of a shovel for small areas or run of a roller for larger areas. Spray immediately.

We had some few years ago and I sprayed with Grazon90 amd mcpa mixed and killed it in one application.

Will spraying without bruising stems do the job as well?
