I have some fencing to do for sheep - where do you guys source your sheepwire and stakes? Am based in Leitrim/Roscommon area. Any place in particular you would recommend? Thanks.

Wherever you get them, go for good quality, especially in the stakes. If at all possible, go for the black creosote stakes. They are expensive the day you buy them, but at least they'll last. A farmer can reclaim the VAT on fencing material too..... I'm not familiar with any suppliers in your area, but I have been to FRS in Boyle a few times, and they stock a good range of fencing...

Hi Thegingerbear, I think the best place for this would be the sheep forum, I'm sure there are a few sheep men up that side who should be able to point you in the right direction.

It's one of the sub forums just above the threads on the main forum page.
