Transporting electric bike

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows a way to transport an electric bike for a cycle tour overseas?

Airlines and courier companies that I have checked won’t carry the large lithium bike battery. I have limited time so would like to avoid having to take it across to the continent on a ferry.

Multo autem ad rem magis pertinet quallis tibi vide aris quam allis

It seems the consensus is you can't fly with a battery on a plane although they do allow mobility scooter batteries for some reason.

I wonder could you ship the battery with a courier to your destination and fly with the bike without the battery.

The couriers will use air transport, its hazmat. Gonna cost a fortune for any that will take it.

    Rent at destination.
