    Hey

We are on the look out for a projector to use outside at night mostly. It needs to be android compatible to use screen mirror and also be able to use a fire stick if needed.

I have had a look on amazon but the range is so extensive its a bit overwhelming trying to choose the right one.

I would appreciate your help and advice.

There are lots of very cheap projectors (€1-200-ish) on sale with outlandish claims about their light output, they usually have android and/or TV tuners built in.

Please use caution, the light output is extremely exaggerated compared with the ANSI measurements used by reputable manufacturers.

An outdoor projector needs comparatively high light output, 3000 ANSI Lumens at least, preferable 5000, business class projectors would be a good option.

I’d be on much more familiar territory with home cinema projectors !

I would recommend checking out one of the large projector suppliers sites (for instance https://www.projectorpoint.co.uk/projectors/office/all-office-projectors ) and find a projector with high light output in a budget that suits you. Be aware that some low cost (but quite reputable ) models may have low native (ie the resolution of the internal image generation in the projector) resolution, and/or be 4:3 aspect ratio - this may be relevant if you need a “widescreen” image. You can buy the projector anywhere you like, I mention the site in question because they are specialists who stock a very larger range of projectors and their site is very informative.

These things can be managed of course, but a higher resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio may be better if that is the image you want to project.

    Ritz.
