Hi guys, the plaster on my poroton blocks has been failing for some time. I checked on this boards some years ago and there seemed to be some threads but now I can't find more than one. There's also some broken threads elsewhere. So, it's definitely a known problem. It's quite pockmarked externally which I would live with, and have managed to contain the problems around windows. But now quite often I find significant and disturbing blooms behind furniture or in a corner of a room I haven't looked in. So, I definitely have to do something about it. I know someone who has had her wall completely replastered with traditional lime plaster - not long enough ago to know if it's going to be a long term solution.
So, I guess I'm asking if anybody here has any insight, experience, words of wisdom before I bite the bullet - which I think I must do this year!
It's doubly frustrating because at the time, I paid more and chose to go with what I thought to be the safer option, the proprietary plaster - oh well . . . Thanks in advance!
