The brakes on my 9 year old daughter's bike are shocking cantilever things that need constant adjustment. I want to change them, was wondering if long reach brakes would fit it ok? I see they have a set of tektro's on crc that might do the job.

You can set them up with reduced spring pull for smaller hands too.

When I used to work on cantilever brakes though I found the following splitter for the cable to be much better then the traditional Y yoke as it reduced cable movement and then helped reduced the brakes going out of shape:
