Flicking through done deal and half the country is on it advertising silage/ slurry/ digger work ... just out of curiosity does anyone ever search done deal to hire someone? Or if theres people on here who advertise do you get any work from it?

When you haven't paid for last years silage yet, how else will you find a contractor for this year?

Never hired anyone off it for above line of work. never seen any of the contractors in this greater area on it looking for work either.

would strike me as it's a lot of lads who may have went contracting in more recent years just trying to get name recognition in their area and some work too .

Around here the trick is to go and cut the silage, but not collect or bale it untill the outstanding bills are paid up in full first. No other contractor would touch it anyway, once it's mowed.

Not many would get work around here if they wanted payment going out the gate.
