Best mobile internet option for gaming..?

What's the best option for Xbox live gaming?
My son has a room in a rented house and wants to be able to play Xbox games online without signing up for a contract or a home broadband package because he's only going to be there for a few months so ideally he'd like something he can use while he's there and take it with him when he leaves and use it in the next place when he moves in there.
I have a Huawei 4g mobile WiFi hotspot modem thingy, if he put a payg 30 day notice SIM in there would it be suitable for online gaming?
    Thanks

they would be fast enough for online gaming but you really need to ideally verify at the house location

if the house is out in the middle of nowhere with crap / no mobile coverage it may not work

    check using speedtest.net

    XBox One internet speed requirements

Required minimum download speed: 3 Mbps
Required minimum upload speed: 0.5 Mbps (500 Kbps)
Maximum allowable ping rate: 150 ms (milliseconds)

if the house is in an urban / suburban / decent size town area then should be fine.

My area, outdoors is fine for 3. indoors is ****e.
Vodafone recently made Vodafone X unlimited data for 20 a month.
have a look on their coverage maps to see what your area is covered by.
