    Hi all,
I recieved a phone call last night from British Number (it said it was from Birmingham) on my Irish phone number. I study over there so I assumed it was someone i knew.
I answered the call, and a man with an eastern european accent asked if i was Claire, and i answered yes. He went on to explain he was apart of a educational company? ( i could barely make out what he was saying) And I asked what educational company, to which he ignored. Then he said he was calling in relation to shares in finance? I told him i wasnt interested and he continued to interupt me asking did i not want to make money. I told him he called the wrong person as i didnt have any money, that it was 9 o clock at night and im not interested. I hung up.
I knew it was a scam obviously but close variations of that number have rang me 3 times since.
Im guessing they got my name and number through a data leak on the Internet. Should i change all my passwords and that or what should i do. Im kind of freaked out they had my name.

It's a phishing attack. They may well have nothing but your name and number but yes I'd change all passwords especially if you haven't in a long time and use the same password for multiple accounts. Use unique passwords for all sites going forward. The best passwords are phrases or sentences.

If you have the option of setting up MFA or 2FA on any accounts I'd do that also.

This data may not be compromised at all but there's nothing to be lost by being cautious.
