    Hi Guys,

Regatta have a sale on Jackets at the moment, 50% off.

Promo code 'SUMMER' can be used on some selections, which gives an additional 10% off.

I know Regatta seem to constantly have sales lately but this might come in handy for someone who likes their gear.

what's the general view on quality?

I bought one jacket in the past, but found it got worn very quickly.

It isn't the best but by no means poor I would say. In fairness, some of the stuff on sale should never be advertised at full price really.

Lived in one of the jackets for 6 months travelling, limited space backpacking so no choice but can't fault the quality, shoved in bags and used in lots of hill walking, 4 years old and used all the time and still looks new

Have made an order from regatta last week and my item is with dpd Athlone 6 days still no sign of it moving for delivery. I guess dpd are totally overwhelmed now.

Their stuff is perfect at the sale price but not a hope at the claimed original.

Every regatta 'sale' thread should come with the obligatory statement that they have never sold any of their clothes at rrp. As long as you are happy with what you are getting for the price then go for it. Quality is fine, not great but not terrible.

my main hill jacket is a regatta cross pennine, i giot fed up with expensive brand name jackets just not doing the job, leaking etc, had a sprayway before this nought for 22 euro in tkmax, this one was 60 euro - does the job

Mind the sizing. Everything I ordered is too tight. This has nothing to do with me eating too much.

For those of ye that have bought from Regatta, looking for a rain jacket for the winter months that actually keeps out the rain and not just shower proof, plus it would be nice if it went below the waist. Any recommendations gratefully accepted.

Not being smart but my recommendation would be buy a good gortex jacket the likes of Berghaus and you will have it for years to come and don’t bother with Regatta.

Go for Berghaus,or mountain warehouse sold me a 3 layer full wet protection ,I wore both at Turner's x sitting in 2 hours of heavy rain a few times both are warm and water proof and breathable, Regatta is not a brand for the rain
