How to get a copy of your company VAT cert

    Hi all,

I setup a Ltd company through an accountancy firm (I'm and It contractor).

I received a lot of post from Revenue and I appear to have lost my VAT cert.

I can't seem to find out how to get one reissued. I don't have ROS access as my accountancy company, who I pay a monthly fee, are the ones with access to it. I have requested access to ROS via the Revenue site but that's not going to happen anytime soon, judging by their timeliness.

I can't seem to contact Revenue at all by phone and my question is, does anyone have any idea on how I can get my VAT cert reissued.

    Thanks in advance

Do you mean a copy From ROS of your vat registration number ? I’ve never heard of a vat cert as such. Your agents (who you as y you pay the monthly fee to ) can do a ROS printout of the vat number. Or you can put your number into the EU vat validation site and it will confirm the number is a valid one.

Sorry re reading your post do you mean your ROS digital cert ?

I think he is looking for a "VAT Cert", the UK uses them, but I have had clients who were asked to produce them for 0 rating purposes.

OP if this is the case, look for form Vat 66a, but you can use the links above as well, they should also accept that you are entitled to 0 rated VAT if you provide your VAT number and they check it using the europa system.
