I have just checked my eir webmail to see if I can figure out some issues and find that as far as I can see, any email I have sent from the web client to gmail addresses is marked as spam on the receiver's gmail client.

    Has anyone else found this?

The domain (eircom.net) might have been flagged and blacklisted somewhere. Any email from the domain, no matter the subject, would be blocked.

Not sure how to fix it though

Yes, this has also been happening recently to any emails that I send from my eircom.net address to Gmail addresses. Even if the recipient moves it to their inbox, any further emails still end up in their spam or junk folders.

Yes - this has been bugging me for few weeks- person im dealing with has to text me to say they sent email and I retrieve it from spam box.
Ive tried marking it as not spam and adding rules -adding as contact etc. Nothing I tried works. I thought she had been flagged - but looks like whole eircom domain?

Old problem. Eir do not have a SPF record for their mail domain. This means spammers can spoof email addresses and there are other reduced protections for the domain resulting in mail more easily getting marked as spam. So it is more like the domain is not whitelisted so problems.

Is this something that Eir will solve?
Should I stick it out in the hope that Eir will resolve this issue,
or just go ahead and change to a new email service.

Well it hasn't changed for many many years and doubt it ever will so would plan accordingly. Iirc eir want to let customers to have the ability to send mail from non eir connections which has its advantages which means no SPF record. Not 100% sure though.
