Planning to put in an outdoor floodlight, max 30W LED unit

Is 1.0mm2 3-core ok for this? Its going to be 6-7m long cable run

1.5 mm sq. is the smallest cable size permitted for a lighting circuit.

    ok thanks
Just online shopping at the moment for a floodlight

In terms of lumens what is more than enough for lighting up the front drive of a typical semi d?

Light will be at the roof soffit

I held a 10W 900lm floodlight out the window and felt it wasnt enough but would 50w 5000lm be too much in an estate even though its pointing directly down from the roof to the driveway?
