Buying a van

    Hi all

So in the lookout for a van

Came across a few. Lad in the job selling a 2013 sprinter for 5k but with 200 miles on it. Was reluctant to be spending that much with such high mileage.

I like the transits but was told Sprinter were much more reliable. I seen a 2012 older model transit for 4k with 150 miles on it and looks clean enough.

Also 5k would be around my limit

    Anyone any recommendations?

The 2.2 diesel from that era transit can give quite a few problems.

A Peugeot Boxer would be worth looking at.

Boxer has the same engine as the Transit :D

I should have specified l meant the 2.0hdi one.

A friend of mine has one and it's been very reliable. Mind you they're not for going anywhere in a hurry but that said they're perfect for tipping about and once they're up to motorway speed.

    Is ye're ducato 2.0 or 2.2 colm?

    Ducato is 2.3

2.0 wouldn't pull you out of bed!

Only available in SWB in the older ones too

Ya they're pretty dead but they'll cruise away sound once ya get them up around the 100-120km/h mark. Pretty light on diesel too all things considered.
