Buying from ebay

I just want to know about buying on ebay.
    I don't have PayPal.
If I buy from someone registered as a business seller, is it safe to give my debit card details?
Is it ebay who processes the card or the seller?
I'd just be nervous of handing over my card details to someone outside of ebay.
Does the seller have any access to the details?

    Just get a Paypal account.
    It's quick, convenient and secure.

Have to agree with the last 2 posters. PayPal is the best and safest route to go. Covers you not only now but in the weeks and months ahead should the item fail/blow up or whatever
