    Hi

There doesn't seem to be any decent Android phones close to stock Android to select on Vodafone.

The don't offer the Pixel 4. Nor Motorola or anything that seems vanilla android from what I see.

They stock Samsung , huaweii all heavily customised and then a pixel 3 which is really old at this stage.

Just wondering was i missing something here, the selection seems really crap ?

In the same boat and agree with you that the selection doesn't float my boat. I've switched to the 30 day rolling contract for now and holding onto my Sony Xperia XZ2 which is still running very strong. Thanks to the current situation and still having a job, my bank account has swelled enough to be able to buy a phone outright away from the network contracts but I'm just wondering if it's worth it when the phone I have right now is running really well. If I'm forking out anywhere between €800 and €1100 for a UK/Ireland spec phone I don't want it to be just a side step to what I have now, I want it to be a step forward.

    This too shall pass.

I left Vodafone years ago due to their choices on phones to stock for bill pay.

How much are you paying per month? Just go SIM only and buy the phone you want. Less than €600 for the Pixel 4 atm, if that's what you want.

get the pixel 4xl but not the pixel 4 as it only has a 2800mah battery - doesn't get through the day for many people.

 You can go SIM-only without leaving for another network

Yes, I'm telling them to go SIM only and stay with Vodafone.

When I left them, their SIM-only offerings were much worse than I could get elsewhere. Their data allowances were particularly poor, and I was coming from a 16gb/month allowance which at the time was unheard of for Vodafone. This was probably about 4-5 years ago.

I left them out of principle. If you're going to stop stocking the phones I like, you're not getting my money :)
