I like this show but there’s not much in the way of drama atm on season 1 episode 5 it’s all there
    Great cast
    Horrible watchable characters
    Great production

But there’s not enough juicy drama does it get more scandalous further on?

The short answer is: Yes. Stick with it.

You are experiencing the same feelings I was going through during the first half of season one.

It has so many great elements - cast, acting, quotable and endlessly bitchy dialogue - but at the same time a bit uninviting - right? I was even debating whether I should continue. I couldn't really understand quite the level of plaudits and hype it was receiving. It was a good show... but that good?

But, man, am I glad I stayed the course. Once it hits the home straight in season one it becomes truly epic. You should find yourself being drawn into the machinations of the plot around episode six or seven and the finale of season one left me stunned: the show is on another level.

And season two is even better. Every episode is a self contained masterpiece. It's the best show on TV.

Succession is like a finely cooked meal in its own right, but also, compared to say, Jack Ryan which is what you'd throw into a microwave.

The ping pong between the characters is great, and I like the family dynamic too. As I said in the main thread, someone needs to give the main guest actors in season 2 and Brian Cox a theatre script and just put them in a play. It would be dynamite.
