This friday (15th) is the final date for applying for the BPS without late application penalties and BEEP-S totally closed. Dept helplines can be found in the tweet below.

Is this beep, a one year term or more?

The BEEP-S scheme is just for this year, it's an extension of the BEEP scheme from last year. Who knows what schemes will be available next year.

Folks trying to get a handle on this since my father passed away.

We made the BPS/ANC application in March.

We are also in GLAS. Is GLAS covered by this application?

Or are you in it for automatically for the duration of the scheme....until 2021.

Just want to make sure everything is applied for as before.

    Thanks.

No, I think you need to contact the Glas section in Johnstown castle in Wexford and get the Glas contract transferred over into your own name.
It shouldn't be too hard to do.

Well the application was being submitted in his name until I get everything in order.
Just at the moment organising wills/death certs and all that lark is slow.

Can I leave it I his name until later on in the year?

I'd imagine you can but once you get the death certificate there shouldn't be much to transferring it over.

    Ok cheers.

But we're covered anyways with the BPS/ANC application?

Yeah, you say you applied in March. As long as you did it properly you should be grand.

I applied for the Beep-S scheme online but I've decided that it's not worth the hassle with the weighing bit - I've only 2 first calved heifers and another one due. How do I cancel the application online cause I can't see where online.

Sorry to hear about your father. I was in a similar position 5 years ago. In fairness to the Department any of the staff I encountered couldnt have been more helpful. They went above and beyond to help me. Cause there is silly little things like for the Beef Genomics scheme Da had signed the forms so I had resign them. Things like changing the payments to your bank account. But in fairness the staff in the Department were brilliant for advise. There was a lady called Mary in the local DVO, had to drop her in a form 1 day. She took me into a side office and went through the full departmant file on the herd to ensure everything was in order to help me. So if you are unsure about anything lift the phone and ring them. They are used of dealing with this type of thing and are willing to help once you ask.
