2011 Citroen C4 'P filter add - level low'

    2011 C4 Picasso.

Right, after 161,000km, I'm getting the message that the P filter is low.

From my own research, I can't really do add the fluid myself, or, at least, I can't reset the ECU myself after adding the fluid.

How much will this set me back, and how much time do I have before it would really impact on DPF?

I had mine replaced in Kevin Barry Motors in Dublin . About 190 . while your at it check if there is a recall on your timing belt . mine is 2011 and it had a recall

Thanks for that. Nowhere near Dublin but good to hear a rough price.

Timing belt already changed at this stage.

On the 2011 model. refilling the additive is relatively easy, as long as you are careful not to spill it, or get it on you, as it doesn't wash out easily. The more difficult job is the reset of the warning, as cheap OBD readers can't do it, it will need either a Citroen computer, or an up market computer like Snap on to be able to tell it that the reservoir has been topped up.

There can be different sizes of reservoir, so you need to check with a citroen dealer for the right version, I'm aware of 3 different sizes and connector fittings for that year, depending on when it has been previously refilled, or not refilled as appropriate.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁
