Heating/Hot water Controls for Gas Boiler

    Hi,

The house we bought some time back has only very basic heating controls for our gas boiler, On or Off based on temperature via a Nest thermostat. There is no ability to heat only our water with the boiler unless I manually turn a valve which would stop the water from flowing to the radiators. Also there is no thermostat on the cylinder which from my research is not very efficient.

I've seen that a 3 port valve could be installed but I don't think this can be integrated with the Nest.

Has anyone come across a similar setup and if so what are my options? We need to get the cylinder replaced soon as it has no insulation so I would like to do it all at the same time if possible.

    Thanks in advance
