    Hey All,

I'm looking for a second hand road bike for my 13 year old daughter. She's enjoying our Covid19 spins, so I thought I might make them a bit easier/longer for her.

Budget would be about €300, and could collect in Dublin/Kildare.

Title says Small but possibly an XS might be better depending on bike.

If anyone has anything suitable would love to know.

    Thanks!

She is 5ft 2in. 13 in August - so still some growing left.

You probably don't need an XS then. A S will be just fine. (I'm 5'0 ... fully grown I ride a XS or 44cm in Rd bikes) You're looking for a 48cm for the smallest (depending on brand too ).

    I hope it helps.

Ah that's super OP. Bike rides you'll look back on fondly in years to come.

Not saying I am right or wrong but just for opinion I ride an XS frame & I am 172cm tall.

Don't go too big. It'll do nothing for the experience & the handling will be an unpleasant experience.

All the best in your search.

Frame sizes described by letters rather than numbers are poor indicators of true size.

Why there can't be a standardised model of bike sizing around the world I don't know. Everybody gotsta be different I guess.
