Does working from home pose a threat to MNC's location in Ireland?

With Twitter stating that they expect many of their employees will never return to their offices, why would they continue to pay huge rents in prime locations in the city? Hard to imagine what cities will look like now? Interesting, perhaps an end to that rush for urbanization, in much the same way as Industrial parks fell out of fashion. Maybe a return to cities where people can actually live? Maybe a trend away from increased urbanization?

Very fluid situation and time - a few years, I'd say - will tell.

There's multiple dimensions to MNCs being here, company tax rate, availability of skilled labour, infrastructure, language / timezone etc, so its a complex thing. And is heavily influenced by what's happening globally, economy etc.

I suspect there will be bigger impacts to our way of living than just companies potentially not operating out of city locations though.
