Hi I think I overfilled the oil in my strimmer . It started very briefly, black smoke and stopped.Oil was also coming out through the air filter. I replaced the plug but the pull cord won't work unless I take out the spark plug. No repair shops open at present. Any advice appreciated!!!

Is cylinder full of oil when you pull with plug out??

Have you removed the excess oil?

I think excess oil is gone (looking at the dip stick) not sure about the cylinder. How would I check? I know little or nothing about engines to be honest.
