What would be the ideal concrete for a driveway?
    Strength, Steel mesh or not?

The heaviest vehicle on it would be the oil delivery truck.

    Thanks.

properly laid and compacted hardcore are v important.
    .
mesh, yes but again properly fixed.
    .
What thickness slab have you in mind

    I was thinking of a slab of about 100 - 150mm.

It's a level, solid, stoned surface I would be laying it on if that helps.

I would put 5 inches thickness in it. The prewelded mesh will be fine, just make sure its propped up so its close to the middle of the slab. 30N20(30Newton, 20mm stone) would be fine too. Some might say 30N is overkill for a driveway but it gives a a good finish and would be harder wearing. Do it once, do it right and all that.
