Just wondering if I was to provide accommodation for a foreign worker would I need planing permission.The intention is to provide a few rooms for a worker in a new build. Anyone know the guidelines if any, on this

Depends. If you want it closed off within your house with a separate access you would need planning. He then would also become a tenant and have different rights than him sharing a house with you.
