Board removal advise please

    Making a new transition between carpet and laminate so removing old wooden board however, they are screwed to the door frame from the inside. What the hell!

    Any advise please. Out of luck I have been able to remove one full one by force. This one the screws came out with one side.

    Split it with a chisel

    Had a similar issue last year. Just a multitool to cut them out

    Chisel did the job thank you. One screw was in a knot so took a little extra chiselling

    Doors and frames were probably pre hung, they were assembled off site and then fitted as a unit.
