    Is there a website where cars are classified for insurance purposes?
    For example a skoda Octavia may be in a different bracket than a superb. It would help when buying to know rather than calling up brokers.

    I think the Irish Companies have their own bands. There isn't a transparent band like there is in the UK (thanks Irish regulator).

    We have two cars, drivers the same (obviously), identical engine, same car brand, slightly different style MPV vs Hatchback, yet one is group 5 the other 10.
    Makes no sense. Quotes are entirely different with the same insurance company. One is 250 dearer than the other.
