    Hi guys,

Stupid question time, I recently got a delonghi

I normally make cappuccinos but I want to make americanos now. I thought the long coffee option was basically a americano but after googling it appears it's alot stronger. So an americano is a shot of espresso and add hot water from the kettle?

    That's exactly what it is.

You may not need your kettle. Depending on model you may be able to get hot water from your steamer.
