    An emotional act built into us like eating, sex and excretion. Or is it an evil learned action? Maybe it’s just reserved for non-human animals.

    It's the reason for murder which is threat. Murder is the act of eliminating the threat. Greed, jealousy, status, humiliation all come into it. Basically either your pride gets the better of you or you are defending yourself from a direct physical threat.

    No but anger which drives murder is. I've read an article that says anger, fear, and satisfaction (from food, sex, shelter) are the emotions that nearly all mammals on earth share.

    Animals don't experience social emotions like embarrasment.

    When one of my two tomcats farts, the other lad does be mortified. We do both be thinking of suicide. The unreconstructed man's man can peel paint from walls. The lady's man looks like Pepe le Pew but leaves the stinkfest to his furry brother.

    The civilised cat was telling me he was reading an article too. About the satisfaction of the kill. Cat's perspective I assume. Though I'm not sure was he reading a girlie mag or a cat mag.
