Projector screen vs projector paint vs ordinary paint

    I’m considering getting a projector for use with an AppleTV and Bly-Ray player.

    It won’t be a high end 4K projector.

    We are going to start painting next week so I was thinking projector paint instead of a screen. I saw on google that a projector with more than 3500 lumens needs grey projector paint.

    However if I’m not going high end with the projector is projector paint just overkill?

    Would ordinary white paint be sufficient?
