We will have a plumber out to fix a leak and asked him if valve is gone about moving a Honeywell Thermostatic Radiator Valve as under towel rack, he is telling me shouldn’t be one in bathroom

    https://www.screwfix.com/p/honeywell-evohome-radiator-zone-kit/1216h

Now I’ve asked and can’t get my head around it, he seems to be saying it stays on the whole time and is low cost as small radiator

    Thanks for any help etc

In general trv not recommended for bathrooms. The heat from showers etc confuses them

As 49801 says heat from shower can confuse them. It's the smallest rad in the house & a TRV won't save you much money because of this. I have one in my bathroom & it functions perfectly. It depends on the size and layout of the bathroom. Also our bathroom door is left open when not in use so heat from shower etc has little effect.

We've never had any issue and even when he was here seemed to be as clear as mud

It was I think radiator full whack when boiler on and cold when off. Doesn't sound like good idea

Least now it's moved away from towel rack and less chance of breaking again
