    Hiya,

Just reading there about Dublin Bus drivers being told that they have to take 1 day annual leave every week up to 10 days during this crisis.
Can they make sectors of the public service take their annual leave as well?

Yes. Annual leave is at your employers discretion.

Some workers have zero choice at all about when they get leave.

Would you rather see a situation where the whole place goes on leave in September for example, assuming all restrictions are lifted then?

Of course annual leave needs to be spread out over the year.

My place is allowing people carry over a large chunk of their 2020 holidays into 2021. Private sector.

But you'll still need to take at least 21 days this year?

We have been told that the amount of leave to be carried over can be 10 instead of 5 days. But we have been strongly urged to talk leave before the lockdown ends.
